About Us

The Black Transgender Community works to uplift black trans people through championing migrants' rights, racial justice, and reproductive rights. Black Transgender society is a group of people who came together with a common commitment of fighting for the rights of black Trans people in response to the massive outpouring of opposition of immigrants to the repressive immigration bills then under consideration by the U.S. Congress.

Who We Are

Our Mission

The Black Transgender Community believes that a thriving multiracial democracy requires racial, social, and economic justice for all. We bring Black trans voices together to advocate for equality and justice in our laws and our communities.

What We Do

Our Activities

We educate and engage African American and black immigrant communities to organize and advocate for racial, social, and economic justice. We provide training, develop leadership skills, and initiate vibrant dialogues to discover more about race, diverse identities, racism, migration, and policies.

Our Programs

Initiatives

Our programs include legal clinics for asylum support, gender justice clinics, community engagement initiatives, and reproductive rights advocacy. We aim to address the unique challenges faced by Black trans individuals and promote comprehensive healthcare and non-discrimination policies.
